Yes. There is no ticket price and no upfront charge — you reserve your spot for free, join the tour, and at the end you tip your guide whatever you feel the experience was worth. Most travelers tip the equivalent of €10–20 per person, but the amount is entirely up to you.

Find your destination, choose a tour, and use the "Reserve your free spot" button on the tour page. You will receive a confirmation with the exact meeting point and time.

Free tours can be cancelled at no cost, anytime before the start time. We only ask that you cancel as soon as you know your plans changed, so your spot can go to someone else.

There is no fixed rule — tip what you feel the tour was worth to you. As a guideline, many travelers tip between €5 and €20 per person depending on group size, tour length and how much they enjoyed it.

Guides on FreeTour.travel are locals who are deeply knowledgeable about their city and experienced at leading groups. Many do this full-time and rely on tips as their primary income.

Most free walking tours run rain or shine — guides usually adapt the route slightly. Extreme weather cancellations are announced by the operator directly, and you can always rebook another time slot at no cost.
