Buenos Aires City Center Free Walking Tour
Plaza de Mayo, Evita’s balcony and three centuries of drama
Every chapter of Argentine history happened on Plaza de Mayo: revolutions, Evita’s speeches, the Mothers’ marches that defied a dictatorship. This tour reads the square like a history book, then walks Avenida de Mayo’s faded art nouveau splendor to the world’s widest avenue and its obelisk.
The walk starts at Plaza de Mayo (Plaza de Mayo, Monserrat, Buenos Aires) and runs daily at 10:30 and daily at 15:00. It lasts around 2.5 hours, is offered in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and the group is capped at 25 people so the experience stays personal. Look for the guide with the green FreeTour sign.
