Gaia & Port Wine Stories Free Tour
Cross the bridge into the world capital of port
Cross the top deck of the Dom Luís I Bridge — knees permitting — and descend into Vila Nova de Gaia, where centuries-old lodges age the wine that made Porto famous. The tour covers the rabelo boats, the English merchant dynasties and how a fortified wine conquered the world. Cellar tastings afterwards are optional.
The walk starts at Praça da Liberdade (Praça da Liberdade, Porto) and runs daily at 16:00. It lasts around 2 hours, is offered in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and the group is capped at 25 people so the experience stays personal. Look for the guide with the green FreeTour sign.
