Roman Barcino to medieval Barcelona in one walk

4.9 (4,380) · Hosted by Barcelona Native Walks

Under the Gothic Quarter’s stone alleys lies Barcino, the Roman city Barcelona grew from — and your guide knows exactly where the ancient walls poke through. This tour covers kings, plagues, civil war bullet holes and the squares where the city still gathers, ending steps from the cathedral.

The walk starts at Plaça Reial (Plaça Reial, Barri Gòtic, Barcelona) and runs daily at 10:00 and daily at 16:00. It lasts around 2.5 hours, is offered in English, Spanish, and the group is capped at 25 people so the experience stays personal. Look for the guide with the green FreeTour sign.
