Lower Manhattan & Wall Street Free Walking Tour

Where New Amsterdam became the capital of everything

4.8 (2,870) · Hosted by New York Native Walks

New York began at its southern tip: a Dutch trading post that became the harbor half the world sailed into. This tour walks from Bowling Green through Wall Street’s canyons to the 9/11 Memorial, covering buccaneer bankers, the bull everyone photographs and the resilience that defines downtown.

The walk starts at Bowling Green (Bowling Green Park, Lower Manhattan, New York) and runs daily at 10:00 and daily at 14:00. It lasts around 2.5 hours, is offered in English, Spanish, and the group is capped at 25 people so the experience stays personal. Look for the guide with the green FreeTour sign.
