Berlin Highlights Free Walking Tour

From the Brandenburg Gate to Checkpoint Charlie

4.9 (3,720) · Hosted by Berlin Native Walks

Empire, dictatorship, division, reunification: Berlin compresses the entire 20th century into three walkable kilometers. This tour covers the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag’s glass dome, the haunting Holocaust memorial, the site of Hitler’s bunker (now a parking lot — deliberately) and the ghost of the Wall at Checkpoint Charlie.

The walk starts at Pariser Platz (Brandenburg Gate) (Pariser Platz, 10117 Berlin) and runs daily at 10:00 and daily at 14:00. It lasts around 2.5 hours, is offered in English, German, Spanish, and the group is capped at 25 people so the experience stays personal. Look for the guide with the green FreeTour sign.
