From the Brandenburg Gate to Checkpoint Charlie
Empire, dictatorship, division, reunification: Berlin compresses the entire 20th century into three walkable kilometers. This tour covers the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag’s glass dome, the haunting Holocaust memorial, the site of Hitler’s bunker (now a parking lot — deliberately) and the ghost of the Wall at Checkpoint Charlie.
The walk starts at Pariser Platz (Brandenburg Gate) (Pariser Platz, 10117 Berlin) and runs daily at 10:00 and daily at 14:00.
